 The Ormond Beach public library is part of the Volusia County Public Library system, and one of six branches of the county-wide network of libraries. The Friends of the Library organize several special events to benefit the library throughout the year, including a huge book sale, storytellers, and special forums such as “Meet the Author.” The children’s department offers many programs. There is Storytime for newborns and toddlers 18-36 months old. For preschoolers 3-6 years old, the library offers both a Storytime and the Jumping Beans Fun Fitness program. There are Walk-in and Afterschool Crafts for all ages several times during January and February. The Pow Wow Club for Kids begins in February, and a special Valentine Storytime is also held in February.
