Ormond Beach MainStreet
is one of 2,000 MainStreet communities nationwide, established by a National Trust. Ormond Beach MainStreet was established in 1995. A volunteer-run, non-profit organization, MainStreet is a partnership between city government, businesses and community with the goal to revitalize the design and economic development of the downtown area. According to the Ormond Beach MainStreet Board of Directors, the partnership between public and private sectors’ purpose is to “develop the strong resources necessary to build a thriving downtown community, including beautification and economic growth.” Downtown Ormond Beach is fast becoming one of the state’s most culturally beautiful and economically healthy communities on the east coast of Florida. MainStreet plays a big part in this growth by making Ormond Beach’s downtown the place to go for shopping, dining and entertainment. The Ormond Beach MainStreet district includes Granada Boulevard from A1A on the East to Orchard Street on the West, and areas to the north and south of Granada Boulevard.
